Mario Brothers Costume
My Son and his best friend and their girls wanted to Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Princess Daisy. I hand dyed white overalls (in a garbage can)in hot water using blue dye, had to do this twice to get them darker.
I painted wooden buttons yellow and Velcrod them to the buckles of the overalls so they could still unhook them to get them on and off. The hats I painted foam panels with the M and L cut them out and glued on the hats.
The dresses were old Goodwill dresses I took apart and made all the add ons with satin fabric I purchased. I painted the front of Peaches dress and glued on large glass pieces. I hand sewed all the flounces onto Daisys dress and added on cap sleeves. I used gold glitter fabric paint to embellish each dress.
