Homemade Mario and Luigi Halloween Costumes
My boys love Mario and Luigi video games and really wanted to be them for the annual Halloween costume contest at school. There was nothing in the marketplace at the time so I had to pull everything together and make my own Mario and Luigi Halloween Costumes.
The masks were pieced together using felt; the nose was stuffed with paper to make it stand out. I just added yellow buttons to jean overalls. I also used felt to decorate their candy bags with various "one-up" mushrooms (2nd pic) and Donkey Kong made a surprise appearance on Halloween night! Both of my boys ended up winning the costume contest for 2nd and 3rd grade -- they were so happy!
