Hotair Balloon Costume
This is a Hot Air Balloon costume using my daughter's left over medical supply boxes etc. It is made with a small cardboard box that we threaded wool through to look like a basket, we added filled socks for the sandbags, we used old catheter tubes too create the poles of the basket and attached orange/red material too give the illusion of a flame.
Finally it was a case of blowing up large sausage shaped balloons and tying them altogether to look like the balloon part of the hotair balloon. We also lined the inside of the box to make it more basket looking and put a couple of shoulder ties on so my daughter could carry it.
It took a couple of days to make and paint etc but well worth.
