Homemade Spider Halloween Costume
My son has Cerebral Palsy and uses a walker to get around so I had to come up with a costume that would not take up too much space or get caught up in his walker. I also wanted to dress up his walker and have it match the costume. His favorite song is the "Itsy, Bitsy, Spider" so I thought this Homemade Spider Halloween Costume would be perfect for him!
I started out with a black long-sleeved shirt and black pants. I sewed two pieces of black material together and stuffed them lightly with pillow stuffing so they wouldn't be too heavy. Then I sewed them to the front of the shirt and attached the red hourglass (I liked the idea of a specific spider).
It was easy to make and I already had all of the required items on hand. We put fake spider web all over the walker and, needless to say, he was a big hit in his homemade Spider Halloween costume!
