Homemade Rubik's Cube Costume
I love the 1980's and knew I wanted to be a Rubik's cube so my mom and I made this fun Homemade Rubik's Cube Costume.
I bought a roll of duct tape for each color in the cube and got a box. Then I covered the squares with the duct tape and, after that, with vinyl, which I cut from a shower-curtain liner, to make the cube look like plastic (more toylike). Next I used black electrical tape to outline the box.
We used black elastic to make the suspenders because I knew I didn't want to be confined to arm holes! I used a headband and covered it with duct tape squares and vinyl as well. My mom crocheted the awesome leg warmers!
