Easy DIY Robot Halloween Costume

My plan was to go as a dice but when I picked out my box it was rectangle and not square so I had to rethink my costume. That is how I came up with the Homemade Robot Halloween Costume idea. My husband is an electrician so some of it was what we had laying around.

The first box – the head:
I spray painted it black. Then used a glue gun and secured two vegetable cans on the side.
I cut a hole in the top and stuffed left over wire out of. The eyes are 2 CD’s. The mouth is an electrical outlet.

The second box- the body:
I spray painted silver. I cut 2 holes in the side for the arms. I hot glue gunned a few items on it, some examples were different colors of pill bottles. The black knobs were cheap tea light candles and I just flipped them over and painted them black. We had an old fridge that the label had fallen off that said Kenmore.

I used two dryer vents for the arms, though my arms did not fit all the way down inside them so I had to just hang the gloves off the ends.

For an even better effect I dragged an extension cord behind me. I had a voice changing machine that made it sound robotic, and I used a light that goes inside a pumpkin turned it on and hot glue gunned it on the back for more lights.
