Cool DIY Rainbow Brite Costume for a Girl

I loved Rainbow Brite as a child and I have shared my video and book with my own daughter. Of course my daughter had to be her for Halloween! So to make this Homemade Rainbow Brite Costume, I took an old blue dress of mine (that I wore 11 years ago for Halloween as a Junior in high school), hemmed it and took it in to fit my 6 year old. I sewed on different types of fabric to get the great design of Rainbow Brite’s outfit.

I used baby legs for her arms and a pair of home made leg warmers for her legs. To top the whole thing off, I made her a sprite bag to carry around to put her candy in!
