Homemade Pretty Woman Vivian Costume
I've always loved the movie Pretty Woman and had wanted to dress up as her for Halloween. However there were none out there to purchase. This year I finally decided to make my own.
I started off with the boots. I ordered thigh-high boots on eBay and they weren't as expensive as I thought they'd be ($32.99). Then I found the wig at a Halloween store. I had the hair and boots down. Now all that was left was the actual outfit.
I bought the tank top at Forever21 for $2.50. Then I went to local fabric store and found blue Lycra which worked well. Lastly I bought some silver multi-purpose hoops at Michael's to connect the shirt and skirt. Luckily I had my aunt, who was a seamstress, cut and sew the pieces together.
The final touches were the red jacket and the hat. I had already owned the hat and my mom had an old red jacket. Bracelets, a few necklaces, and the key completed the costume. I had a bunch of people compliment me on it.
