Homemade Pinocchio Costume
My son Gabriel loves Pinocchio ('pickhio' is how he says it) and I didn't want to buy him the same old costume everyone would be buying at the party stores. So I decided to make a Homemade Pinocchio Costume. The hat and shirt were white and had to dye them yellow. I cut off the collar on the shirt and added white shiny fabric. I did get him white gloves but forgot to put them on.
The shorts and vest were hand made. In case any doubt of who he was I went to the Disney store and bought a small jimmney cricket which I safety pinned to his shoulder (was going to glue to the top of the hat but it was an expensive cricket).
On Halloween night I was stopped plenty and asked where I bought the costume. It was so worth the time put into it which really was not much.
