Homemade Pennywise the Clown Costume
I couldn't decide whether I wanted to be Pennywise the clown, or just be a guy being carried in a bucket. So I decided to combine the two. All in all this Homemade Pennywise the Clown Costume is a pretty cheap costume to make.
Makeup was about $20, the garbage can was $25 and the mask on the fake body (the guy carrying the garbage can) was like $10. All the other components were clothes I had laying around or bought at a thrift store or fabric store. The skull cap I'm wearing was also $10 from the costume isle at a retail store and I just used good grease stage makeup to make it white.
After some sewing and riveting, it became a fairly easy costume to get in and out of. The legs under the fake body are my own and I enter the garbage can from a hole I cut in the bottom/back of the garbage can, the long shirt on the fake torso covers my entrance hole making it look as if there is a person carrying me around.
I always make my own Halloween costumes, it makes it more fun when you didn't buy it. I hope you enjoy it.
