Homemade Peacock Halloween Costume
I hate buying costumes so I was trying to do something a little different, so I decided a Homemade Peacock Halloween Costume!
I started with a simple black skirt that looked like a petticoat. For the top I went to K-mart and bought what I like to call "a long bra" LOL. I had my mother sew turquoise fabric on the front to add color. I attached peacock feathers on the cups of the bra and down the front. For the tail, I couldn't think of an easy way to do it, so I cheated. I searched online for a peacock fan, it worked great. I attached it to my top with Velcro.
For accessories I bought feather eyelashes, turquoise makeup and pulled my hair up and added a flower and a feather in my hair. Voila a Peacock! I was a big hit at our annual Safe House at work.
