Homemade Oompa Loompa Halloween Costume
Items needed for my cool homemade Oompa Loompa costume:
1. A blonde schoolgirl's wig,(Joanne's Fabric), spray-painted with both fluorescent green hair paint and plastic-based forest green paint.
(60% off, $3.99, $6.99, $5.99).
2. Brown Ralph Lauren Polo (TJ Max), designer Oompa Loompa (would you expect anything less?) Women's size medium, $12.99. I painted the white stripes with white fabric paint ($2 at Joanne's), sponge brush($1.99 at Joanne's), and a drink straw to make the lines straight (I bought a Grey Goose & sugar-free red bull, drink was $6.00, but the straw was free!).
3. Women's white pants, size 8,(Ross), buttons sewn on (Joanne's), white ribbon for the suspenders sewn on ($3.99 at Joanne's).
4. Ladies knee-high striped socks, ($4.99 at TJ Max).
5. Tan face,($22.99 at Shop Ko)- very dark mousse-foundation with the powder so it wouldn't run while drinking and dancing. That stuff is expensive!
6. White face makeup for the eyebrows,($3.99 at the Halloween store).
7. White gloves, ($4.99 at the Halloween store).
8. Shoes, ($12.99 - 50% discount - at Footlocker); I probably won't wear them again but they made the perfect match.
