Joe's Mermaid Costume
I made the fin for the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island, Brooklyn and Joe loved it so much he borrowed the Mermaid costume for a children's cartoon characters fancy dress party. He looks a treat.
We got some shiny Lycra from a shop and it was dead easy to make because its just rouching at the front so you like sew in and out and then pull on it so it gathers, anyone could do it.
Then I cut a slit at the back at the bottom to make the fin ends.
We bought Joe a pink vest to protect his modesty and then he borrowed my burgundy American Apparel bikini top. And he bought a wig.
