Coolest Homemade Lawn Ornaments Couple Costume

My boyfriend was a garden gnome – he wore black pants and boots, and had some slip on boot covers (that cannot be seen in the picture). The shirt was from Old Navy and he wore a sweatshirt and a puffy vest for extra padding. We made the belt out of a wide strap of elastic and used yellow felt for the buckle. We bought the beard (about $5) and sprayed his hair and eyebrows with white hair spray.

I was a yard flamingo. I had on huge silvery black shoes and the fishnets to make my legs look SUPER long. I made the tutu out of tulle, which was fun and very inexpensive. The corset was bought at Charlotte Russe (about $20). I found the feather boas at the dollar store and I made my mask out of feathers, fabric paint, and glitter.

I had 3 pink Ostrich feathers sticking out from the back of my tutu, this was the most complicated part of the costume. The feathers were $3 a piece and I first hot glued the 3 ends together to make a fan shape, and then I wrapped some pink thread around the glue and just stuck the end in the top of my tutu. I also had on a bunch of pink jewelry and some long pink and black feathered eyelashes.
