My 5yr old has quite the imagination. She wanted to be a headless skeleton but also wanted to be sure everyone would know she’s a girl, so we added a tutu. Her head is also her candy bucket. This Homemade Headless Girl Skeleton Costume was so much fun to make and not too much work. The “head piece” is the rubber portion of a plunger with some hair clip attached. I sewed the neck hole shut and glued the plunger to it, then we just slipped it into her hair and voila!
Headless. I used tulle triple folded for the eye slit. The paint is glow in the dark. She won the local costume contest, 2nd year running!
