Homemade Geico Money Costume

I used a cardboard box painted green and cut on edges to resemble money to make this Homemade Geico Money Costume. Added foam balls for eyes and a blue and white sheet of paper as a money strap.

We inserted two speakers into the foam eyeballs and connected to an iPod nano. We downloaded the "somebodys watching me" song from the commercial and played it out loud.

Very cute and easy to make.

I was wondering if you knew where I can get speakers.. did you use spray paint to paint and how did you get into it, was there a round cut in the middle?

Love it!

LOVE it! My daughter is so excited to try to make this. How did you cut the edges on the box? and what type of box did you use to get that shape?

is she wearing it?
by: Anonymous

Is she wearing it like a skirt, and if so how did you make it? Or is she just holding it? It's so cute.

so cute

is it made into a skirt, and how?

How its made
by: Yvette

No, its not a skirt. Just a med size rectangular box. We cut the edges with a knife and then folded them back a little. She is holding it up with her hands here because we have not made the straps to hold it on yet. I plan to just use some duct tape and hold it up like suspenders.

Hope that helps.

MONEY
by: YVETTE T

THE SPEAKERS ARE FROM A MP3 PLAYER THAT WAS INSIDE A BEACH TOTE. IT WAS A RARE THING I HAD LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE. JUST HAPPENED TO BE ROUND SO I COULD PUT THEM IN THE STYROFOAM BALLS.
