Homemade Gangster and Body Optical Illusion Costume

This Homemade Gangster and Body Optical Illusion Costume took me about 6 hours to make. For the gangster's torso I used a jacket and mask over a Styrofoam/newspaper frame. It was supported upright with an aluminum pole that went into my back pocket. I cut a large hole in the back of the plastic container and it rested snug on my hips once I was inside.
The jeans/shoes I stuffed with newspaper and are attached to the container with staples. The costume was a bit wobbly but once I attached the arms to the container with Velcro it helped stabilize it.
It was a huge hit at the costume party I went to and everyone was trying to figure out part of it was actually me!
