Homemade Flying Monkey from Wizard of Oz Costume
This is a picture of my husband in a Homemade Flying Monkey from Wizard of Oz Costume. We made this costume totally from scratch (except the wings). We used fun fur for the body and and hands. I found a gray vest at value village and cut it in half so I would have extra fabric for the sleeves.
For the decoration on the vest and hat I used craft felt and sewed it on. I found red and gold trim and trimmed the inside of the jacket and sleeves. For the hat I found at the dollar store a small basket and covered it with the left over fabric from the vest and craft felt. For make-up I used white, bright blue, and black. It took me about an hour to do the make-up.
