Homemade Evil Queen from Snow White Costume
Every year I make a new Disney costume. Two years ago it was Maleficent, last year it was Princess Aurora, this year the Homemade Evil Queen from Snow White Costume. I love the reaction from people when I wear it to the various Halloween parties. I try to make the costume as authentic as possible so that the character is easily recognizable.
The most difficult part of the Evil Queen costume was making the white collar stand up behind the head. I had to insert wires to make it rigid. The make up really is the part that makes the character come to life, so it's important to have it applied correctly. I used pictures from the internet and a collector's doll to make the costume as authentic as possible.
At parties it's important to play the part of an Evil Queen with lots of attitude and sneering. She is not an approachable person in the Disney theme parks, so you kind of have to warm up to her. I am very proud of the work that I did.
