Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth Costumes
I needed an easy, cheap costume for our Halloween party, and thought: "Okay I have big boobs, what can I do with those?" So 'Beth' popped into my head. I needed a top to show them off and decided on the dress I had got from Freecycle, along with the army boots.
I bought a six-dollar wig at Wal-Mart, borrowed my husband's sunglasses and got the handcuffs out of the bedside table (just kidding!). I attached a small stuffed dog to my belt to represent my better half and my outfit was complete.
Unbeknown to me, my sister was coming to the party as 'Dog!' I was able, at that point, to ditch the fake dog for the real thing! It was incredibly funny to see her walk in, complete with the hair (her own that she sculpted into his famous 'do'). She was dressed all in black - jeans, shirt and vest. She had tied a bandanna around her leg and had a large belt buckle to add to the "Dogginess" of her costume. She also had the braids with the feathers, sunglasses, black boots, fingerless gloves and the badge.
The best part of her costume was the facial hair; she bought one of the little hair pieces you can add to your hair, trimmed it down and attached it to her face with Elmers glue stick. She said it was rather painful to pull off so maybe you'd want to rethink that!
We all went to a restaurant in our Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth Costumes and, needless to say, people knew who we were! It was a blast and we hope you enjoy our take of Dog and Beth.
