Homemade Dazed and Confused Group Costume

For Halloween 2008 we dressed up as some of the characters from Richard Linklater's cult-classic "Dazed and Confused". My friend and I dressed as the "Senior" girls in the hazing scene, and our boyfriends went as Dave "I love them high school girls" Wooderson and O'Bannion (complete with paddle).

Everything was a Homemade Dazed and Confused Group Costume - including O'Bannion's patchwork shirt, which was crafted by cutting up pieces of fabric and gluing them onto a button-down shirt. We even scanned and printed out a cover of the Ted Nugent album that was on Wooderson's t-shirt throughout the movie and ironed it onto a white t-shirt. For the Senior girls, we cut up some white sweatshirts and sewed them back up to resemble vintage football jerseys. Then we ironed on the word "SENIORS".

We also carried around trick ketchup and mustard, which actually "squirted" out string. Everyone who saw thought that we were fantastic!

From one of my favorite movies, I've always wanted to dress up as the Senior girls. I think I'm going to give it a try this year!! Thanks for the great ideas!
