Homemade Busy Bee Halloween Costume

My daughter was very much a busy little bee by the time her second Halloween rolled around! So I decided to make her just that, a Homemade Busy Bee Halloween Costume!

I made a tutu out of an elastic of an old pair of pants of hers. I knotted black and yellow tulle to it until it all filled up! I bought a black turtle neck and stenciled "BUSY" and a little buzzing bee on it with yellow fabric paint and a sponge.

I made the wings out of old hangers and black nylons! I decorated them with yellow glitter fabric paint! The antenae are pipe cleaners attached to barrettes with Styrofoam balls wrapped in fabric! They bounced as she walked!

It was truly an adorable costume and a very memorable one!
