Homemade Beetlejuice and Lydia Couple Costume
We decided to go as a Homemade Beetlejuice and Lydia Couple Costume one year- which I was very excited about. At that time, there were no Beetlejuice pre-packaged outfits or wigs which is fine with me because I love to make my own!
For Beetlejuice, we bought a black suite from Goodwill, taped off lines with duct tape, and spray painted white stripes on it. He wore a white shirt, a black tie, and work boots (with the pants tucked in) to complete outfit. For the wig, we purchased an "old man" wig that had partially balding gray wild hair. I painted the bald skin part with some white craft paint to look like his skin and sponge painted some green "mold" along the edges. I used waterbase craft paint for his make up and black eye shadow for the black around his eyes. Don't forget the green sponge paint to make the mold!
For Lydia, I wore plenty of black. I am blonde, so I bought black hair spray and make my hair a lovey shade of black. I then "pointed" my bangs to match her hair and- voila... you got Lydia!
