Homemade Balloon Boy Costume
I created this Homemade Balloon Boy Costume in response to the family in Colorado who had the who world on pins and needles when they claimed their 6 year old son flew away in their homemade weather balloon/flying saucer. It turned out to be a hoax and nothing more than a publicity stunt.
The costume was simple, I purchased 5 helium balloons and spray painted them silver. I then duct taped them to a headband and added tethers attached to suspenders, also spray painted. I wrote "Balloon Boy" on a $2.00 T-shirt to complete the costume, all for about $20.00. I had a great time with this on and got so many compliments!
