Devils Food Cake Costume
We came up with this idea for a devil's food cake costume after looking at your website for quite some time. We liked the cupcake ideas, but my daughter wanted to be "scarier," so somehow we came up with devil's food cake!
We took a laundry basket and cut out the bottom for her legs. We tied red ribbon through it to help hold it up over her shoulders. Then we spray painted 1/2" thick foam brown to look like cake. We cut felt to look like frosting (The craft store had textured felt that looked like fancy frosting!) and we hot glued the foam around the basket and then the felt to the foam around the top.
We added a store bought devil mask and pitchfork and she is ready to go!
