Cool Homemade Costume for Groups: Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo
My friends and I really enjoy the TV show “Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo”. So much so that we decided this year to dress up at Mama June, Sugar Bear and of course Honey Boo-Boo.
To make Junes and Sugar Bears costumes we went to local thrift shops and found the perfect outfits. To make the face masks we went to Kinkos and printed out enlarged faces and naturally glued them to sticks! Sugar Bear had the bud beer prop and of course we made his outfit filthy. June had her coupon prop (she is the coupon queen) and had her routine of yelling out “show em you belly baby”. Honey Boo-Boo, our star, was decked out to the nines in her pink princess pageant dress, fake tan, loads of makeup and her pet pig!
We decided to test our work on the streets of Manhattan…times square to be exact! You would have thought we were the actual cast!!! We were bombarded with photographs and group pictures. Honey Boo-Boo did her runway walk and people laughed and cheered. 15 minutes of fame at it’s finest. We felt like stars! We went into numerous bars and the reactions have been amazing. People are completely in love with these costumes and the responses are priceless!!! Laughter follows us everywhere we go. Hands down this is one of the best costumes we have cooked up and we can’t wait to showcase them this Halloween!
