My son wanted to be Chuck E. Cheese. I prefer to make my own costumes so I began searching the internet and didn't find a single homemade Chuck E. Cheese toddler costume idea ever been made of Chuck E. other than the original Chuck E. Cheese.

So I decided to sew a bear costume and just make the ears larger so it would look like a mouse. Then I used one of my t-shirts and a large pair of green shorts (that was my nephews) so they were large enough to fit over the fur. I used felt to make the hat, letters, and stripes on the shirt. I wanted to paint his face gray and flesh colored with the big character eyes, but he wouldn't let me :(

I made his trick-or-treat bucket from last year into a block of cheese, which turned out cute.

Overall, I liked the way it came out. It was a last minute execution so if I had more time I think I could have made it a little better, and also made the ears stand up. Oh well, it turned out just fine and my son was really excited when he put it on and looked in the mirror.

Coolest Homemade Snap! Crackle! Pop! Rice Krispies Group Costume 2

Homemade Snap! Crackle! Pop! Rice Krispies Group Costume

Homemade Snap! Crackle! Pop! Rice Krispies Group Costume

Snap! Crackle! Pop!
For Halloween this year my friends and I went out dressed as the silly cartoon characters of the well-known cereal Rice Krispies! We decided to do this because my friend (Crackle) is in love with this cereal so we thought it would be perfect.

We made this Homemade Snap! Crackle! Pop! Rice Krispies Group Costume completely from scratch and by ourselves! We made every detail of these costumes, from their hats right down to the color of their shoes. We went out on Halloween night, each carrying a box of Rice Krispies and big spoons, and handed out Rice Krispie treats to all our friends! We spent a lot of time and effort on these costumes and felt that they were very unique. We are very proud about how they came out and hope you are too!

So, next time you have a bowl of Rice Krispies, we hope, when you hear them snapping, crackling, and popping, you'll think of us!!

What a clever idea for costumes, these young ladies showed a great deal of creativity both in the choice of costumes as well as how they executed their idea. Obviously thought, time and effort were involved in their Halloween plan, and I loved the rice crispy hand outs idea too. Great job!!!

Hey guys, this year my friends and I decided that it would be cool to dress up as snap cackle and pop for Halloween and your costumes seem like a cute flirty version of it. Do you think you could tell us how you gathered the supplies and got the hats? we would really appreciate it!

Wow.

I don't know how that guy above me noticed that the color of snap's shirt was wrong. Lol. I was consumed by their beauty to notice anything else.

Coolest Homemade Bob's Big Boy Baby Costume

Homemade Bob's Big Boy Baby Costume

My husband and I went to lunch with my Dad to Bob's Big Boy and we saw how similar our son's hair was to Bob... *Light Bulb* - a homemade Bob's Big Boy baby costume!

I went to Joanns and picked up a yard of red and white checkered fabric (with the big squares, not the small ones) and Simplicity Pattern 2905 (baby overalls). For the straps I used red ribbon instead of the material, like it asks on the pattern, so that it would look like Bob's overalls.

I went to Walmart to get a single plain white onesie. At Michael's I picked up Transformations Iron On Letters (black flocked letters size .75 in X 1.9 cm) and some blue ribbon (width: 1/8 " 3mm) for the collar and sleeves. Last but not least, Bob would not be complete without his cheeseburger. I picked it up at Petco.

Super easy pattern to follow and lots of fun :)

Coolest Homemade Fruit of the Loom Costume

Homemade Fruit of the Loom Costume

I had a sudden idea from out of the blue to dress up as the apple from the "Fruit of the Loom" commercials. I knew this would be a difficult task, but with a bit of cardboard, a bunch of stuffing, a few yards of fabric, and some heavy duty sewing, I had myself a great costume. I then started to think it would be quite amusing if I got together the whole gang. I only managed to get one bunch of green grapes, but in the end, it was hilarious.

The grape required several safety pins and balloons and was a hazard near sharp objects. I had the idea to wear boxer shorts and I even made my trick-or-treat bag from boxers with the legs sewn up. Getting through door ways was difficult, but it was fun and worth while. We hope you like our Homemade Fruit of the Loom costume!
