My boyfriend decided he wanted to be Keith Stone, from the Keystone Commercials, so to match I decided to make a Keystone Light costume. Since I can’t sew, I decided to make this costume out of duck tape.

I laid out rows of duck tape face up so that it was wide enough to go around my body and the length the actual length I need for the dress. I then laid duck tape over that face down, so that the sticky sides were together. This second row is placed in the opposite direction (horizontal instead of vertical) so that the costume is sturdier. Once I have the base of the duck tape the perfect size, I put Velcro on the ends so that the costume was easy to take on and off. For the Silver lines I used silver duck tape, easy enough.

For the Keystone Light words, I cut the letters out of white paper using the Cricut and added silver strips for the accent marks. I hand drew the mountains on white paper and colored it with blue marker. To attach this to the dress I used clear packing tape. The back silver strip I cut their slogan “Always Smooth” from the Cricut and put it the entire length of the dress, attaching it with the clear tape. I covered the entire dress with the clear tape to make the entire dress unified. To top off the outfit I made a can tab hair piece. I drew this out of paper and wrapped it silver duct tape.

Hope you like our Homemade Keystone Keith Stone and and "Always Smooth" Beer Couple Costume.

Coolst Cornelius the Kellogg's Cornflakes Rooster Costume

Homemade Cornelius the Kellogg's Cornflakes Rooster Costume

For this Cornelius the Kellogg's Cornflakes Rooster Costume I found a bird pattern and made it using green fleece, I added the red fleece for a gobbler and head piece to make it a rooster. I used felt to make the eye and then just used craft glue to glue it to the head.

Then I made yellow fleece pants and feet with the gripper backing on them. I could not find a foot pattern to fit his shoe size so I just drew my own and they worked out perfectly. The beak and tail feathers were made with craft foam and sewed on the costume. It was the most time consuming part because it was hard to sew through but it worked.

His trick or treat bucket was a cornflake box we cut a handle out and creased the sides inward.

Coolest Homemade Brawny Paper Towel Costume

I decided about two hours before we had to go out for Halloween activities to be "The Brawny Man". I already had the flannel shirt (which I wear on a regular basis anyway) and I figured I could throw a fake beard on with some make-up in no time.

Making the paper towel roll so I could fit into it and able to draw on it was the challenge. Once I figured out what I was doing, I simple took 4 large pieces of poster board and stapled the edges together. I cut a large enough hole through it so it was snug around my body (so I didn't have to hold it).

The decorating of the 'paper towel roll' I can not take credit for - I had the help of a very talented artistic friend.

Coolest Homemade Coppertone Girl Costume

Homemade Coppertone Girl Costume

I came up with this concept of a Homemade Coppertone Girl Costume because I was thinking of a brand icon to dress up as. I bought a fake butt and spray painted it to look pale. I put together a bathing suit with a bigger bottom to cover the fake butt. I then bought a toy dog and sewed "Coppertone" on it and hung it from the bottoms.

All I had to do was curl my hair in pig tails and I was set!
