A bunch of girls from my high school got in trouble for playing beer pong and putting up pictures of ourselves online. It was a huge controversy and so we thought it would only be fitting to go in a group Beer Pong costume for our Senior Halloween.
At lunch one day well all got together and made up a plan to start constructing, which was a great feat. 10 girls using roofing material from Lowes (imagine 10 high school girls carrying rolls of roofing felt - we got some looks), covered in red and white felt.
We walked into school that morning in our pieces of art and ruled the world.
Throwing ping pong balls left right and center, we marched in (all ten of us) and set up a diamond in the Commons. Needless to say the school wasn't too happy, and after reclaiming them once from getting confiscated, we settled to putting the letters "C-O-K-E" down the SOLO part.
it was a great year and we were even mentioned in the Student Council President's speech at Graduation.
I made this Beer Pong cup out of a 4'x 8' plastic sheet I found at Home Depot (not sure what its used for but it was perfect). I then spray painted it red and also found pipe insulator and painted it white used for the rim of the cup. I then made shoulder straps to hold the cup up so I could walk with it.
Then, all I needed was a Beer Pong ball witch I made out of a light wight globe painted white that I got at Target.
Who doesn't love Beer Pong? And everyone uses the classic red party cup so as soon as anyone saw this they knew what it was and if you never have to tell someone what you are you did a good job.
This costume cost me less then fifty dollars to make which is around what most costumes cost in stores and i think this one is way cooler.
I decided to make a gigantic beer pong Halloween costume because we play beer pong at a lot of our parties and I saw the costume that was posted on this site.
I started by cutting open two hula hoops. I slipped on PVC connectors and also cut out a portion of the bottom hula hoop so it would be smaller. I then taped them closed with duct tape. Then I connected the hula hoops with PVC pipe so it created a frame for the cup. Then we covered it with red pleather fabric. The material was shiny like the Solo cup and was the right color too.
For the top of the cup, I painted pipe insulation white and then attached it to the hula hoop. The ping pong ball was a white balloon attached to a stick so it didn't keep flying away. Except for not being able to sit down, the costume was pretty cool.

Beer Pong Solo Cup and Ping Pong Ball Couple Costume
This was my third attempt at a completely homemade costume! Both of the main pieces of the costume are made out of felt - two colors necessary: white (ping pong ball and inside of cup) and red (outside of cup). The ping pong ball is stuffed with newspaper and used elastic bands around the neck and waist - the label I drew on with a Sharpie.
In order to hold up the solo cup I used two hula-hoops (recycled from my original wine bottle costume) and white felt suspenders (sewn on) - the top one is larger than the bottom. Enjoy!
