Last year I finally convinced my boyfriend to dress up for Halloween. He said that he would wear whatever costume I wanted him to wear as long as I made it for him.
Well, the surprise was on him. I started off by getting large boxes and Barbie ads from Toy's R Us. I then went to a paint store around the corner from my house and bought small bottles of red and blue paint, a small can of white paint, and a paintbrush. When I got home I mixed my colours and I painted and decorated my boxes the way that I wanted. I then cut large holes in the front of the box leaving a border of cardboard around all of the sides. I also cut four slits into the back of each box.
I looped a rope through the the top two holes and a belt through the bottom two. I tied arm loops so that I could wear the box like a backpack and I used the belt around my waist to keep the box upright. I went through my closet to find a suitable outfit for myself and I told my boyfriend to wear something nice.
Although it was hard to fit the costumes into the cab and into the club, I think that they turned out great. The bonus was that our friends could find us in a matter of seconds.
