I bought 2 union suits and dyed them dark brown, then painted a lighter brown for the chest and stomach area. I then made a little fluffball tail with medium brown yarn and attached that to the rear.
To make the horns I just cut out horns and ears from dark brown felt, sewed them together and stuffed them then attached them to a hard plastic hair headband. I used the same yarn I used for the tail to make a tuft of hair and attached that between the horns. For Mrs. Taz I added a bow.
For the hands I used brown jersey work gloves and painted red fingernails for Mrs. Taz and wore an oversized big plastic engagement ring.
For feet we used Taz slippers we both already had but I painted red lips on mine for Mrs. Taz.
We topped it all off by painting our faces dark brown with lighter brown around the mouth and nose. Painted a clown nose black and painted fake whiskers. Optional are fake teeth.
Mrs. Taz wore a brightly colored skirt and carried a Taz baby doll.

Superheros to the Rescue DIY Couple Costume
My girlfriend loves ladybugs and wanted to go as a ladybug this year.... So I decided that I would step it up a notch and make it super hero's!! Do wanna add that the idea for these Superheros to the Rescue DIY couple costumes did not stem from the books about bumblebee boy and ladybug girl. Enter "BUMBLEBEE BOY" & "LADYBUG GIRL".
Our capes were made by hand with the use of fabric (Ladybug Girl used black duct tape for the dots but on Bumblebee boy the stripes were fabric as well). You can also see in the photo that we both carry an emblem on or chest!! (made from foam pieces). Bumblebee Boy has a "BB" and Ladybug Girl has a "LG" I will admit, it was a little awkward wearing the tights and woman's underwear all night!
The antenna that we have on are made from pipe cleaners wrapped around a plastic headband. Total time making bumblebee was around 1.5hrs and ladybug girl was around 1hr. I hope that you enjoy our Superheros to the Rescue DIY couple costume!!
My husband and I decided to be Snorks this year. We purchased full body suits to help us complete the look. We hand made our Snorks out of pipe installation and used colored duck tape to make the color stay. We then cut holes in top and hand sewed our snorks into place.
My husband was All-Star Snork. We made his belt out of elastic and fabric and hand cut out a star to pin to the front of his belt. We purchased the shirt and pants (swim trunks) at a local store. Myself as Casey Snork. I purchased a white dress and hand dyed it dark green. I then used white elastic to make the belt and cut out and pinned my heart to the front. I also poked holes on the side of my body suit and pulled my hair out on the sides. I spray painted my hair pink to match the rest of my suit.
The costumes worked out great and our friends loved them!
I spent a whole month, and about $100, on this homemade rocketeer costume. The helmet is made of a honey comb box and paper mache top with gold spray paint. The jacket I found at Salvation Army that I stitched a front plate on to and then hot glued gold painted beer bottle tops for the buttons.
Pants came from some decade and found in my garage and boots and gloves were bought at Target. I felt like I could fly with my soda bottle rocket pack (duct tape and spray paint). So that's my costume, the coolest homemade Rocketeer costume EVER!
