Firstly, for the Angel Halloween costume I bought the Angel accessories; wings, halo, and gold short dress. I made my daughter wear my white dress with ruffles.
Secondly,(the cloud)I got an air conditioner box and I cut and flattened it. I crumpled some newspapers and glued them on the flattened box. Then, I glued the pillow cottons on top of the crumpled newspaper (I glued newspapers first so I won't use too much cottons). I left a spot in the middle so she can stand on it and so it looks like she's standing on the cloud.I cut out three stars and wrap them with foil then glued them on the cloud.
Lastly is the Harp. I got a big cardboard and drew a harp and cut it out. I crumpled some newspaper and glued them around the harp to make it look fluffy, then I covered it with foil. For strings, I glued(using glue gun)some gold bendable wires on both sides(bought in walmart).I had to connect two wires because the wires were too short. Then, I put some glitters on the harp. I also showered my daughter with glitters so she would look sparkly.
My toddler got invited to a few tot-size Halloween parties, and I couldn't leave the baby (2 months old) at home. Halloween creeped up on me quickly, though, with a newborn at home and I just couldn't get out to get him a costume - and there was no real time to sew him a bunting. I wasn't sure my collicky baby was going to be happy in an itchy costume anyhow. At the last minute I dug through the dressup trunk and pulled this carseat angel costume together.
The idea is to dress up the carseat rather than the baby - then there'd be no complaints. I dressed him in a white onesie and white socks. Before strapping him in, I spread out a cheap nylon pair of wings across the carseat, making sure the straps still functioned.
After he was seated a took the halo, bent the headpiece a bit and stuffed it in behind his headrest. I thought he looked adorable, he wasn't uncomfortable at all, and everyone loved him. (I maybe should have added a sign saying "I'm a boy" though.)
As a Police Officer, I wanted to do something totally opposite to myself. I thought of a A Fallen Angel costume. Good and bad at the same time.
My costume consisted of a dress which I bought from Joyce Leslie for $25.00. This was a sexy dress and I also chose it because you could wear it on other occasions. I bought the wings from Dollar Tree. The wings were just a stocking wrapped around wire, and they were blue. I used shoe polish to color the stocking black, bought a Boa from Claire's, pulled the feathers and hot- glued them onto the wings. I threw on a sexy pair of stockings and a pair of boots I already had.
The make-up idea came from a tutorial off You Tube. I typed in Fallen Angel make-up tutorial, sat in front of the computer with my mirror and applied my make-up. There ya go! A sexy Homemade Fallen Angel Costume.
Well it took me about 4 months to create my homemade angel costume, especially the wings.
The angel's wings I made out of a lot of white boas and white lace and white fluffy material from a stuffed bear I had. I bought the thin wire from Michaels, shaped it into the shape of angel wings then I put craft tape around the whole wire. Then to cover the angels wings I used a very thin white sheet and started gluing my boas to it and the white lace at the bottom.
The straps I sewed on for good support. My mom helped me do my corset because she is a very good seamstress. The skirt I made from sheer fabric and cotton. My white boots I bought them but I just glued on the fluffy fabric around the edges. My face make-up took about an hour to create and put on.
