Homemade Alien Kidnapper Costume

Homemade Alien Kidnapper Costume

This Alien Kidnapper Costume came as a surprise when I arrived at an outer space costume party for my best friends birthday. I first made a backpack-like harness out of cardboard, a paper towel tube, tape, ribbon, and glue. I then put a black long sleeve t-shirt on top of it and stuffed the arms with stuffing.

I also attached a lime green balloon with black eyes drawn on with a permanent marker to be the head of the balloon (but if I did this again I would paper mache the balloon and then paint it green so it is more stable).

With the backpack-like loops I made, I was able to put this on my back and then put a black cape my friend lent me on top of it. I wore a long black skirt around my waist and safety pinned little girl pants that had been stuffed on to the skirt waist band.

For a top, I wore a little girls shirt that I bought from a thrift store and then safety pinned the arms around me. This costume was definitely a hit as people made ride a bike and jump around because they thought the optical illusion was so funny.

Boy Being Kidnapped by the Swine Flu Costume

Kidnapped by the Swine Flu

Kidnapped by the Swine Flu

My son wanted to be something different, so I came up with this Idea of him being kidnapped by the Swine flu Dr. I started by putting his top half of his body into pj's with feet, then I stuffed the leg part, I put his real legs into the Dr scrubs. I made a T shape out of cardboard and taped it inside a backpack. I pinned on hands and a mask and then put the Dr scrub top onto the backpack dummy, and then put a lab coat over that. To make it look like the swine flu I attached wings to the lab coat gave him a pig mask. with a dr.'s surgical mask over that, and a name tag that said Dr. Swine. he also had a huge H1N1 vaccine needle and a Iv poll with blood. I made my son look like he was sick by putting blush on his nose and giving him dark circles under his eyes, we even put fake puke on his trick or treat bucket. he won 1st place for most original. the whole costume was about $40

Coolest Alien Abduction Halloween Costume 18

Homemade Alien Abduction Halloween Costume

This costume consists of a backpack with a cardboard frame inside that supports the head. The head is made of paper mache over a balloon painted green with black eyes cut out of construction paper. We used black fabric to cover the head and backpack and create a cloak effect. The backpack is hidden under an Earth Day shirt that is cut up the back (hence the Free Range Human sign).

The legs of the alien are her legs and the ones in the front that look like hers are made from an old pair of jeans and shoes sewn together and held to the body with a belt and suspenders. The alien hands are dishwashing gloves painted the same green as the head.

Most people who saw us walking around asked if it was two people under the costume and because of this we got extra candy all evening. Some even went so far as to argue with us about it and wanted to make sure there was not an extra person under the cloak.

Homemade Monster Babysitter Halloween Costume

This Homemade Monster Babysitter Halloween Costume is like an optical illusion. A monster is carrying a baby in a Baby Bjorn carrier. The monster head is a rubber mask and the baby body is a doll.
